After soliciting input from community members and studying the Town of Windham's Comprehensive Plan, the Community of Windham Foundation has crafted a strategic plan that looks to the future of our beautiful, vibrant mountain community.

We will continue to preserve Windham's heritage and history by expanding our facade improvement program to include a residential rehabilitation assistance program, by partnering with the town on beautification projects including streetscape improvements, historically sensitive signage, and landscaping, and by organizing Historic Walking Tours and Preservation Lectures. Additionally, we will create an inventory of historic building and properties, and prepare the grounds for a future historical society and museum.

We intend to help foster the cultural activities in and around Windham by providing support to existing and emerging arts and cultural organizations, by developing an artist mentoring program and scholarship fund, and by initiating or collaborating on local art events and workshops. Also, we will foster new exhibition space in the town for the visual arts, and assist in the promotion of Windham as an Arts destination.

And, we will create new coalitions to enhance recreational opportunities for the senior citizens, support and expand after-school youth group activities, provide support to existing recreation organizations, and continue to assist with improvements to existing recreational lands and facilities.
