The Community of Windham Foundation is a 501(c) 3 organization dedicated to preserving the town's historical character, enhancement of recreational opportunities, and supporting the growth of the arts. Created March 17, 2002, the Foundation seeks to promote a positive environment for homeowners, long time residents, children, seniors, and visitors to our mountain community.
The Foundation raises funds through individual contribution, corporate sponsors and public and private grants whose funds are then used to support local, non-profit organizations as well as projects directed at shaping the quality of life in Windham.
The Foundation is governed by a Board of Directors that serve on a non-paid, volunteer basis.
HERITAGE and HISTORIC PRESERVATION
To support the community in creating and disseminating information about the historical significance and development of the town and its environs and assist in the general beautification and enhancement of its present appearance.
PARKS and RECREATION
To support the community in enhancing the appearance and services of presently existing facilities and provide various new amenities.
CULTURE and the ARTS
To support the community with assistance in development and promotion of various cultural and artistic organization and activities indigenous to our area.
